DBurns Design won three W³ Awards last month for our work designing the website for Beckmen Vineyards

We have been so busy churning out content and strategizing and building that we’ve barely had time to register something huge that happened a few weeks ago. DBurns Design won three W³ Awards last month for our work designing the website for Beckmen Vineyards, based in Los Olivos, California.

What a thrill it was when we got the news!

Nowadays it sounds cliché when a person or agency says they infuse every project with “passion” – or that their goal for every client is “greatness.”

Sound disingenuous? Cheesy, even?

Well, at our agency we live and breathe those ideals; and the bit of recognition we got from the W³ Awards panel validated us.

We were awarded the Gold in the Food and Beverage and Visual Appeal categories and a Silver for User Experience.

We are able to pour energy into Beckmen and other projects by upholding a certain set of principles at our firm:

  1. We don’t take projects unless they are aligned with our agency’s passions and interests. (Wine, for sure, is one of them)

  1. For projects that reside on the fringe of our passions, we figure out an angle that will bring out our team’s creativity.

  1. Our design philosophy involves attention to beauty and visual appeal but we are just as – if not more – interested in functionality and results.

There are a few more principles I could spout about, but I’ll leave that for another blog.

For now, we celebrate.
