Front Page of Google in 30-60 Days
Hello! This is an awesome tip to really start getting some more traction on you and your SEO campaign. This is something that you’re going to be seeing results in 30-60 days, and it’s about figuring out which keywords are the ones that you should focus on. Instead of taking six months, eight months to generate traffic on the front page, you’re going to see these keywords moving up in about 30 days, for the most part. This is a technique that we use for a lot of our clients, and we see great results.

Which keywords are we talking about? Well, most of the traffic that you’re generating right now organically are from keywords that are ranked and listed on the first page of Google. Anything that’s on the second page of Google tells me two things. Number one, that it’s not generating any traffic, but number two, it’s actually pretty well optimized, because you’re almost on the first page, but you’re not there yet. So these pages that are currently on the second page of Google are keywords that if you focus on, you could easily move them up to the first page. And that’s why, if you do a very strong push behind these keywords, in 30-60 days you should be able to see them on page one, and you should be able to see traffic from those, especially if these are keywords that are going to generate a lot of great qualified traffic.

So I’m going to show you how to quickly and easily find out if you have any of these ‘Low Hanging Fruits’, these really good quality keywords that are right there, on the top of page one, that you can push and move up to the page one of Google. This is how you do this. I’m actually looking at Google Analytics right now for one of the websites that we work with and what you want to do is, you want to click on the left column, on ‘Acquisitions’ and under ‘Acquisitions’, you want to click on ‘Search Console’ and under ‘Search Console’, you want to click on ‘Queries’. What this page is telling you is, these are the keywords that you’re actually ranking for now, it tells you the amount of clicks that you’ve had in this time period, it tells you how many impressions each one of these keywords gave you, it tells you the click-through rate, but most importantly, it tells you the average position.

First thing that I want to do is I want a list to see all the keywords at once and then I want to click on the actual title, ‘Average Position’ because that’s going to put things in order. I’m going to click it again so I start with one. What you see ‘one’, this is position one. These keywords are actually listed on the first place on the first page of Google. So you can see a lot of these really competitive keywords, best Los Angeles web design firms, best web designers. There’s a lot of great keywords that are just on the first position at Google, which is exactly where we want them. If we start moving down, we’re going to see now all of the sudden some keywords on positions two, positions three, and these are all great positions, because we’re on the top of Google. Then we get to position nine, and then the next one is position 11.

11 is the first position on the second page and we can assume the majority of people are never going to go to the second page. These are the keywords that we want to start looking at, and looking at the 11, 12, 13 positions, there’s one in there, the 11 position, that is “website development”. This is a huge, huge, huge keyword for this specific website because it’s a very generic, global, nationwide keyword, that a lot of people are going to be searching for, and we’re just on the top of page two. So if we’re able to push this keyword to the first page and then move it up to the first positions, we’re going to be seeing a lot of great qualified traffic coming in from this specific keyword.

So in my next month, two months, three months, what I’m going to do is, I’m really going to create some good content and optimize it around the “Website Design Los Angeles” keyword, do a lot of other search engine optimization on site and off site for this specific “website development” keyword. And once this actually moves up to the first page, we should start seeing a lot of great traffic from that.

That’s a tip that we use to really figure out which keywords should be focused on in the short term for search engine optimization, and I would recommend that you go through and do that for you, because you can actually see short term results for an SEO campaign, which is really hard to come by.
